Lifetime is an American basic cable channel that is part of Lifetime Entertainment Services, a subsidiary of A&E Networks, which is jointly owned by Hearst Communications and The Walt Disney Company. It features programming that is geared toward women or features women in lead roles. As of January 2016, it is received by 93.8 million households in America.

Assistant Manager Kids Department (Former Employee) says

"Life Time is all about the money. They are quick to fire when things don’t go their way. The turnover rate is ridiculous, constantly under staffed. They say we are family until you need something, than you are in your own. Cons: No work family balance, pay, and advancement... not going to happen."

Lifeguard (Former Employee) says

"Wanted a part time job and they made me work full time hours. Can’t ever sit down, don’t get any breaks, it was awful. The pay is even worse. They pay minimum, which in TN is only $7.25. Cons: Everything"

"Did there internship program in hopes of good practical experiences that would be of use as a persona trainer but this never happened. Shadowing trainers has value but this was the only thing offered. Paid for a 6-week internship but did not even get into the club until 9 days later with no extension or refund for this lost time."

"Management is horrific. Spa employees are required to violate federal wage and labor laws by clocking out when they don’t have clients but are required to stay at work without being paid. You are required to sell product but the manager and front desk are paid the bonuses while the technicians only get 15% commission. Upper management lies about having an “open door” policy but never returns a phone call"

"Management is horrible. Pushes good workers out of their positions by deceiving employees and tremendously hostile atmosphere. They say there is room for growth but give positions and promotions to their friends, nothing is based off of work ethic with this company. I do not recommend."

"HORRIBLE management. I brought several isues to the attention of management and NONE were investigated. I documented dropping cash and was always willing to fill in, ALWAYS on time, good attitude. I was accused of stealing money and fired with NO cause and no paperwork! The management at this location is ineffective and dishonest. Many meembers inquired about their double charged credit cards and nobody there will listen. Management does NOTHING to engage new members or participate in community activities. Many members are not happy and do not see the value of the membership!"

"A lot of politics rather then work ethics is considered with your advancement, sales is a super cared for role. They buy your lunch every month but don’t care about other employees to do so, only the ones bringing in the money. Operations is treated horribly and underpaid for running the entire building. I had one good manager and they move all the good ones around so much there’s no time to establish roots with your employees or members."

"This company is by far the most poorly run sham of a corporation I've ever heard of. They treat every employee as garbage because they assume everyone is replaceable and make sure you know it. They take 60-70%+ of commission based employees pay and expect you to survive on less than minimum wage. Think they pay for mandatory meetings? Well you'd be wrong because despite it being illegal, they still require an insane amount of meetings and sales goals which continually go up without an end in sight. The best way I can prove that I'm not just a disgruntled ex-employee is that there is a revolving door of employees. Every 3-6 months there is an almost complete change of workforce. Do NOT work in this horrible company. I've been gone for a few months now and I can't stress enough of how much happier I am after leaving this hellhole."

"I worked at Life Time full-time for more than 3 years Cons: The managers- truly all they care about is money, and how to stretch their dollar the furthest. Whether this means sending people home an hour after their shift starts because "there's too many people working", or making people wait hours to clock in because " we're not busy enough yet". Also, members complaining of managers never returning money that is owed is also super sketchy. Managers have no experience in "managing" and are amazing at making THEMSELVES look amazing, even though its all the staff under them doing everything. Managers make it seem like they want the best for everyone and are manipulative. Besides the terrible management, the walls literally have eyes and ears. You cannot be incognito in anything you do here because your actions will get twisted and interpreted in two thousand ways and EVERYONE will talk. This company will truly drive you mad."

"purchased a box to hold outdoor cushions, gas struts not fit for purpose and broke first time, had to use box without them. Also purchased a shed, it arrived in 1 box so heavy it gave 4 people a hernia trying to move it (should have been split in 2 boxes). Instruction pictures so poor have seen this crap since IKEA 1978. holes don't line up. self tapping screws need worlds strongest man to start them to tap.

"I bought 20 kayaks from Lifetime this year for every single family members. Lifetime customer service had been absolutely awful. I contacted
Lifetime numerous times and waiting for more than two months for replacement parts. At least twice they promised it will be in my house like a month ago. Every single kayak we received had some issues though we decided to keep it even there are imperfections, damages as well as broken stuff. If I do not receive any response within a week I will return all the kayaks."
